The Search Bar That Isn't...

Idea for the forum: Collate together all of the instances of people using the bit that says “this is not a search bar” as a search bar, build them into art installation word collage, and submit it into the Turner Prize entitled “The True Nature Of The Presumed Unobserved Human Psyche”. It’s a surefire winner!

Honestly seeing the random words typed in the newsfeed is amongst my favourite things about this place. It’s a beautiful thing!

I also feel the obvious instances of it being used as a search bar that isn’t deserves some kind of statistical analysis. Maybe like a kind of bar chart of most recurring search terms? Maybe even an awards ceremony? Most ‘out there’ search term. Most imaginative. Least imaginative… (I mean, “thong” really? C’mon fella, narrow it doewn, eh?) etc etc.

Anyway, god bless all those who have searched on the non search bar this year, and may they continue to do so for my/our general amusement for evermore. It genuinely makes me smile every time! Love you guys xx

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the guy who posted "MARGARET THATCHER THONG" into there search bar that isn't. I mean, just outstanding work sir, we salute you!! i know we have some pretty niche kinksters here, and lord knows I'm not ever going to be one to kink shame, you're all beautiful and your interests many, varied and wonderful... but never in my wildest dreams had I ever thought that would be something someone would search for. I hope you found what you were looking for, but I have to say it feels like a long shot! And if it was posted in parody, then equally I salute you! This group continues to give!
