Did she stop wearing thongs when she became a mom?

My girlfriend is five months pregnant. I haven’t heard her mention anything about stopping wearing thongs, but I'm curious about other people’s experiences. She wears thongs about 75% of the time, even while pregnant. Recently, she bought some comfortable high-waisted pregnancy thongs, which I think are really hot, and it tells me she plans to keep wearing thongs throughout the pregnancy at least. But I’m wondering what happens after and when the kid starts getting older. Do women switch from thongs to briefs as they get older, or is it more of a 'mom' thing? She’s almost 28 and has worn thongs since she was an adult, so it seems odd to think she would stop. Still, I know women who are older often switch, even though they used to wear thongs, but I don't know if it’s more about generational change than age or about becoming a mom.

At my old job, I had a colleague in her late thirties with kids. One day at lunch, she was talking about cleaning out her wardrobe and joked about finding all her old 'pre-mom' thongs and getting rid of them. Everyone laughed, probably because most of the people there were older, and it seemed funny that she used to wear them. I took the chance and asked something like, 'So you don’t wear them anymore?' and she kind of cringed, shaking her head and said no almost proudly. I liked that she admitted to wearing them before, but it was disappointed to hear she stopped. She was at least ten years older than my girlfriend is now, but it still makes me wonder if the same thing could happen.

There’s a popular park near me where I've seen moms slip thongs in the playground a few times, and I really want that to be my girlfriend too...

It's a good question. I've already written on here a handful of times about my pregnant wife exclusively wearing thongs. The only time she has ever not worn a thong during the past 6 years has been for the 3-5 days max per month while on her period, which is obviously not relevant now that she is pregnant. I can't speak to how other women handle it, but my wife is so opposed to VPLs that I truly can't imagine her ever wearing anything else post-baby. Plus I buy all her underwear for her anyway, and I would die before I bought her anything even remotely full back.

It’s a bit different with my girlfriend, but she also doesn’t like panty lines and usually checks before going out. She has light periods, so she often still wears thongs then. She likes how they look and the attention she gets from me, but she also thinks briefs are comfortable. She wears pencil skirts to work, which can make lines more noticeable, but with pleated skirts or looser pants, it’s not really an issue. She tried seamless briefs, but the ones that didn’t show were too big and uncomfortable, and the ones that fit still showed their shape a bit because the material wasn’t very stretchy and she has a bit of a bum.

Its funny you bring this up, I have a good friend who has a good looking wife and a 2.5 year old. She wore thongs almost exclusively (vtl, not a topic we talk about but I notice). Since having a kid its more about comfort, but I find she wears lots of bottoms with the built in liners so the panty doesn't matter much in the warm months. We'll see if in winter that changes. So for her its a mix.

When my Mrs was pregnant, she wore thongs all the time, leggings too for comfort, everyone got a nice view of her thong when she would bend over as the slightest movement and you could pretty much see what was up her ass. She's thin with a nice edible ass, so you can imagine the amount of guys I saw staring at her ass, especially when her thong would poke out past her leggings into a full on whaletail.

That’s reassuring and maybe it’s not about becoming a mom. How old are your wives if you don’t mind me asking? Mine is 28 soon and I think her generation wear less thongs than the one just before her because cheeky panties were pretty popular when she was a teen. Maybe it’s more about generational trends?

My big sisters used to wear thongs almost all the time since I was old enough to notice. The oldest one has two kids now, and usually has a panty line when I see her. But I saw a thong line on her once at a party because the dress was a little tight so I think she have them when dress up. The younger one, who has a toddler, also wears normal underwear more now. I’ve seen her show a thong a few times after she had the kid, like when she goes for a run. Last summer I also saw a whale tail when she got out of a car. But she also often has a panty line when she wears jeans and stuff. So I think yes, they wear thongs much less now. Not so casual like before, maybe when dressing up. They are 36 and 34.

If I had to guess, maybe it feels a bit weird when you have kids who can walk into your room or jump in your bed. I think my oldest sister doesn’t care so much anymore. Sometimes when me and my girlfriend visit, she needs to change and just walks around in full-back panties. It happens when her kids ask for something, or when she needs to say something to me while she is getting ready. She would NEVER have done that when we were younger. Back then she would rather kill me than let me see that, haha.

We went shopping a few weeks ago and bought some maternity thongs for her on her initiative. She has worn those every day since then so I’m feeling positive :)

They are maybe not the sexiest looking with the high waist but at least it shows that she wants the thong back specifically! I also think the idea of a pregnant woman wearing a thong is extremely attractive… She has not yet slipped in public that I know of but the maternity thong slips super easy when we are home and she has different pants so I hope I’ll catch someone seeing her pregnant tail soon :D

This is great to hear. I try to get women to try thongs and some reluctantly try them. And the ones that do say "Like yeah I'm never going back to regular underwear again." And I'm like "See what I'm talking about?"
