I have an ex who said she started wearing thongs when she was 13. She said she started wearing them because it was the trend at the time and a lot of her friends wore them. I remember her even telling me she'd let them show out of her jeans on purpose sometimes, since this was during some of the prime whale tail years. Apparently, she even got pantsed at school once when she had a thong on. Lol, I definitely wish I knew her during those years!
