What's your favorite brand of low rise jeans?

Mmm I totally agree! I saw so many whale tails and butt cracks thanks to Hollister and American Eagle jeans. Girls pretty much couldn't bend over or sit down in them without showing something. I don't even know if either brand sells low rise jeans any more. It's a shame, they were the best.

I got myself a couple pairs of Hollister low rise jeans. I'm not gonna lie, they're actually super comfy. But you do have to worry about your butt and underwear showing if you sit down or bend over.

Hollister is now and always has been my favorite. They have been pretty much the only brand making low rise jeans the past few years, and recently added a style they call "ultra low rise bootcut", which I immediately bought for my wife (link to jeans here).

Upon trying them on, my wife's first reaction was "wow these make my butt look amazing" (a statement that I obviously agree with). @Rancorous is right that siting down or bending over could likely lead to her thong showing, but that's kind of the point .

Yeah I love how it makes their butt look. It kind of scrunches it up and perks it up a bit. I loved walking behind a girl in the hallway and just staring at her butt as she walked. Just that back and forth sway with those cheeks. I miss it so much lol.

My vote is American Eagle jeans, we had one right by a Kohls growing up and I knew lots of girls shopped there. Really liked the skin tight ones and if not a vtl then a vpl. They also bought lots of panties there. When I first bought for me I was probably 60% VS 40% AE. Both have gone down in quality over the years, but I still love both.

What's up with modern low rise being mid rise? You have to search for ultra low rise to have normal/regular low rise that was available during the mid 2000's. I guess there were a bunch of cry baby's saying they're too low.

Like I mentioned earlier I have a couple pairs of Hollister low rise jeans I bought off of Ebay. They're true low rise. I just wear them around the house. I do feel a bit sexy in them as they ride lower and rest lower on the hips. Heck when I walk around my thong and G-strings show on my hips just like back in the day. And of course when I sit or bend over they show. They make my butt look good too.

You are correct. Remember how low jeans and everything was, even early leggings were all mid rise. I think as they got more popular women wanted options for thicker waist bands and materials.

Now almost everything is high waisted, for women the way they fit and importantly stay up it works. Its hard to find things no high waisted, which sucks for actually seeing any thongs or panties. Good thing I like VPL and VTL too.

Women of all ages are much more aware of full on whaletails, but oblivious to vpl/vtl.

They're much more aware of the side effects of wearing low rise jeans after being forced to wear them. Ala whale tail. They're much more vigilant and on the watch for it. That's why you don't see them as much anymore. Some women care and others don't. Most seem to care. They do thong checks constantly to make sure they're not whale tailing.

This might be true for the 28-40 age group, but the 16-25 group missed the original era of low rise jeans and therefore does not have the prior experience of wearing them. That same younger group is also much more open to intentionally showing their thong (whether on tiktok/IG or just as their actual style walking around). I see thongs almost every time I go to the mall, as well as any other time I'm in the vicinity of a group of HS/college age girls. If I had to guess, I would say it's 50/50 intentional/accidental, but I've obviously never asked any of them about it, so I don't know for sure. Very very few VPLs though, and plenty of VTLs.

My wife and I (early 30s) were discussing VTLs the other day, and she said that she and all of her friends through HS and college always thought that VTLs were a bad thing and tried to avoid them. For some reason they thought guys didn't want to see that. I told her in no uncertain terms that no straight man has ever been upset to see a woman's thong, whether that was through her pants/tights/skirt or sticking out above.

Yeah the younger noes have never experienced the whale tailing. I'm sure they've heard about the trend though. If they want it to show of course they don't/won't care. Especially if the thongs have words on them or g-strings have charms on them that are meant to be seen.
